The Tsunami Wave Riders had an absolute blast opening at the 2009 Charlotte Oktoberfest festival on Saturday, Oct 10th.  The event sold out in advance (over 5000 tickets), boasted over 350 types of beer, and helped raise money for several charities. 

The Tsunami Wave Riders were awarded "Best World Music Artist" by the 2009 Charlotte Music Awards and will be performing at the official ceremony on Nov 19th at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, NC.  With a blend of island instruments, such as Caribbean steel drums and Hawaiian lap-steel guitar, and rock and reggae rhythms, the Tsunami Wave Riders have been labeled everything from Hawaiian ("Single of the Year" at the 2007 Hawaii Music Awards) to Beach …
